With Ziva's foot still healing Click HERE for that story, (she doesn't understand "take it easy") we took the dogs to our favorite nearby field for a puppy play date with our former foster Tex-Anna! Ziva of course had to remain on the leash...poor sad puppy, she would have loved to play chase with Tex-Anna. But she still had fun!

The weather was gorgeous, not too hot, not too cold, just right.

And with the sun going down I managed to snap some great pictures with the fading light!

It's certainly beginning to look like fall. All good things must come to an end, or so they tell me...

Here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon the fall/winter usually means the oncoming of rain, and not just a little rain. I mean all on down pour! Giant water droplets falling from the sky soaking everything in their paths! But I don't want to think about that right now.

We've worked really hard with our dogs to make sure they have gentle mouths when playing with all the neighbor kids. We also enforce and expect the dogs to listen to instructions from the kids as well. Above you see Dante patiently practicing, "wait" while T gets ready to toss the toy. And of course Tex-Anna is watching from a distance because she wants to get a head start on Dante!
