My First Attempt
I love spoiling my pups because they are such good dogs! This was not an accident however - it took and is still taking a lot of work, but they are well worth it!
Here is my first attempt at homemade dog treats, my pups seemed to love them I hope yours do too!
Ingredients:
1 Cup brown rice flour
1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp. flax seed
2 Tbsp. molasses
Water as needed.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients into a medium sized bowl, add water if needed until a dough forms.
Roll out onto a lightly floured surface, cut into shapes as desired and bake for 15 min or until the edges are golden brown!
This was my own recipe I created based on a few others, as my dogs don't eat wheat products.
They loved these treats! They were a bit crumbly but I plan on perfecting the recipe and doing it better next time.

These look yummy! They remind me that I need to eat lunch. And give my dogs treats. ;)

What a nice and easy recipe. My pups would love these!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear if you make any improvements to the recipe. :-)
DeleteIt's an easy recipe and you did GREAT!!! Happy Tasty Tuesday. Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteWe love anything peanut butter over here! I'll have to give these a shot :)
ReplyDeletePeanut butter is a favorite for my pups too! I need to get a pick of them trying to clean the peanut butter container next time. Its hilarious!
DeleteThese are quite appealing, I need to branch out and make some of these for my dog. She just gets treats shaped from the top of shot glasses, they're just boring little circles. Now I feel inspired :)
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of that! I love the idea of little round circles too!
DeleteI'm going to try these treats! One of my 4 dogs can't have eggs or wheat, so if 1 can't have it then none can and these don't have either, so they will love these
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think! My pups love them!
DeleteTotally trying these this weekend! I really love simple, wholesome treats like this!
