Blue Sizzlers!

Blue Buffalo Sizzlers

This was a big hit this month with the Dz Dogs! The first ingredient being pork, and containing no chicken by-products, no corn/wheat/or soy, no artificial colors or flavors they loved it.

Although we usually stick to freeze dried treats with fewer ingredients this was a fun goody to add into the mix, kind of like a doggy appropriate candy bar. These treats smelled wonderful, broke apart easily into smaller bites, and Dante was more than happy to come running when called knowing that they were in my pocket.

The biggest problem?

I don't always remember to put them in my pocket...

Want to know what I'm up against?

"Oh, hello deer..."

Now don't think I'm complaining, it's fun having nature right in the backyard. Kind of like my very own National Geographic channel.  We've been working on the dogs not chasing the wildlife, deer they are pretty good at just looking. They get really excited though when the deer come up to the windows of the house, that's still a bit much for them.

Turkeys on the other hand? When we first moved to the country we called it "bowling for turkeys." Not our idea, we definitely discourage it, but it was hilarious the couple times it happened.

Currently we have three hens hanging around the backyard each with her own brood of 10 or more babies. The dogs are definitely getting better, we haven't had a single chasing incident all spring! But it's a challenge and treats are a MUST in order to keep their attention.

Thank you Chewy!!
