Pibble Play

Happy Mischief Monday!!

This weekend was all rain. See this face?  Yup, NOT AMUSED...

So we decided to break out some good old fashioned indoor mischief to take the dogs minds off of the fact that our favorite field is slowly turning into a giant sludgy pond.

Battle of the rope part 1!! They play so amazingly well together. Dante and Ziva share everything together, we've worked really hard with them teaching appropriate play, they are gentle, they stop when the other dog doesn't want to play, they respect each others space, really they are perfect together. But it came with us working on it, teaching then and setting boundaries. If one dog doesn't want to play or share we would back that dog and the instigator would receive a time out. If they got in a tiff over a toy, then the toy was removed until they could play nicely again. If they have treats we do not let them steal from each other. If you set these boundaries in the beginning you avoid a lot of problems. But we also chose Ziva as our second dog because she was a very complementary personality to pair with Dante. #bestdecisionever πŸΎπŸ’“πŸΎπŸ’“πŸΎπŸ’“πŸΎπŸ’“πŸΎπŸ’“πŸΎπŸ’“ #pibbleplay #dante #ziva #tug #tugtime #playtime #playmate #bestfriends #adoptdontshop #furbaby #lovemyfurbabies #lovemydogs #bestdogsever #pitbulllove #pitbulls #pitbull #bullymix #bullybreed #breedambassadors #breedawareness #boxermix #pibbles #apbt #bullyhub

And then I got into a bit of mischief myself. Normally I wait to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving because I love both holidays and think they deserve their own time. But this year it just seemed fun to start slowly bringing out decorations a little at a time.

We'll definitely wait to go pick out our tree until after Thanksgiving though!

We all love the fireplace, it makes the living room all snuggly....

What about you?
When does your family decorate for Christmas?

  1. Your mantle looks beautiful! I actually normally start Christmas the day after Halloween because I hate Thanksgiving, but have had no ambition, but your mantel makes me want to get started now

    1. How can you hate Thanksgiving?! LoL
I love the holidays, and decorating my fireplace is sooo much fun. :-) I've got a big penguin and a few more items for the mantle i'll be putting up soon.

  2. We just put out our Thanksgiving decorations. The dogs are enjoying their gobble turkeys. We usually start with the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and go from there.

  3. They are so cute! It was ridiculously rainy here, too! I love your hearth, it looks so pretty!

We usually decorate after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if we are going to decorate this year. This year has been a major bummer for us and I just am not sure I'm in the mood to celebrate.

    1. Awwww.... :-( You should still celebrate, the bright colors and lights are a good way to drive off the blues!

  4. They're so adorable! We decorate the day after Thanksgiving. It's kind of a family tradition to go get the tree the day after.

  5. I love how they play so nicely together. When S & D play they get really rough, BUT the first time one of them yips, they know enough to back right off. Of course we are right there monitoring as well and if we see it getting too rough, we stop it.

I love Christmas but I'm not fond of rearranging everything....LOL I hate change. We did see one house that has had their Christmas decorations and their TREE up already. I think they did it November 1st. :-)

    1. Nov 1st!! Hahaha! That's even a bit too early for me. :-) I'm waiting on a clear day still to get my lights up.

  6. I say - it's never too early for Christmas decorations. While the rest of us run around frantic trying to get it together, you'll be sitting back enjoying all that you've already done. Smart!
